I am a rising senior at a small liberal arts college. I’m planning on applying to Graduate Schools (PhD in Pure Mathematics) this fall. I’ve been exposed to quite a few areas of Mathematics, and I’ve noticed that I particularly like research that lies at the intersection of Linear Algebra with other disciplines. For instance I really like the Linear Algebra "explanation" behind graph colorings, interpretation and use of eigenvalues in Differential Equations, etc… I’ve been wondering about research areas/topics around Linear Algebra? I’ve also taken Linear Algebra at my college and was wondering what other classes should I take to build on that knowledge? (I’ve already taken Abstract Algebra and Differential Equ).
